they`ve gone mad. i think he`s a quality player but hardly worth 200k a week. but i suppose with UK tax laws they had to offer that much to spark his interest
well im gona say it again but its obcene anyone being paid that, dont matter what job or what quality or what country or what tax, how the fuck can anyone be worth in 1 week what a lot of us gona get in 10 years, makes me wanna puke my guts up
there are many people in the private sector who are paid just as outrageously. many CEO`s are paid ridiculous salaries with even more outrageous bonuses. i think pro sportspeople in general should be well paid as there is plenty of money being made off the back of their talent, sweat and often blood. as long as we fans keep turning up to grounds tuning in on satellite telly and forking out our hard earned for kits and the like. players are going to want to be compensated and should be. unfortunately human nature is ruled by greed, jealousy, insecurity etc.
yeah vinny but only within reason mate, i agree what your saying about bonuses and also redundantcy money cos we been having massive scandles here specialy with banks, and also theres the fact that pro sports people they gotta retire when there still young, also a few pros do other people good with there money without shouting it out, but theres a point where its just sickening what they get paid compaired with how so many people in the world go short, and also storys about footballers behavour with there cash goes to show with half of them they dunno what to do with it when they got it, so im saying 200k a week is plain sick
i agree it is ridiculous. but it`s OUR fault. as soon as we pay to watch in any form. some GREEDY human(s) convinces player(s) and team owners that said players are worth far more than they actually are. INSECURE and JEALOUS team owners and the business world in general give in to the GREED out of fear they will miss the boat or possibly lose their job.
the world went mad years ago money wise. it was called the 80`s. lol Hollywood and celebrities in general who are grossly overpaid often based on nothing more than looks bother me just as much if not more. the world is a crazy place run by all sorts of nut jobs and football is one of the few things in it that i get pure joy from being a part of. so i will continue to turn a blind eye and excuse the greed that has taken over the game i love and keep supporting my team.
i hear you pal.i grew up poor mate. in one of the poorest areas in west sydney but made a choice that i wanted something better. i chose the wrong path for many years (drugs) and even though i made a lot of money bad things happened to me over and again. MOST not ALL poor people especially people from first world countries are poor because of bad choices and selfishness from what i can gather. negativity breeds more negativity and poor suburbs are full of negativity ,insecurity, racism, fear. all the things that hold us back as people and help us make poor decisions which leads to bad choices.
check my avatar mate. thats me fulfilling a dream and i scrimped, saved and sacrificed for a year to be able to do it. being poor in most cases is what drives people to great success if they are able to stay positive and focus on whats important and within your control.
